I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go

One of the strangest things for me to do is adjust to my home life. When I ended my mission, I thought I was ready to step back into the real world and just jump back into the way things are before. I have determined, however, it's not that easy. It's been a learning experience as I have so many things to focus on now - getting a job, getting ready for school, losing weight, strengthening my relationships with my family - it's a lot to focus on and work with.

I have thought repeatedly about how much I wish I was back in Tennessee, doing the Lord's work. However, after prayer and study, I've realized that the full-time mission aspect of my life is done. I now have other things that the Lord wants me to do with my life. I don't know quite what those are yet - but I have to figure them out and deal with them! I have to submit my will with the Will of the Lord.

One of my favorite hymns of all time is #270 - "I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go". It is the way I have been feeling the past few months - getting ready to come home, and then actually coming home. It constantly reminds me that if I do what the Lord wants, I'll come out where I need to be and do what I need to do. I'm grateful for that truth in my life.

Thinkin' about the Similarities

I am so impressed with the people all over the world who live the Gospel. I was visited today by Elder Walter F. Gonzalez, of the Presidency of the Seventy. The Seventy are the people who help the Apostles in the affairs of governing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Elder Gonzalez is Latino. Yet - he and I know the same Gospel. The same principles. The same Savior - the Savior Jesus Christ. It is amazing that the Church is worldwide and that it is the same wherever you go.

Just like Church members are alike, there are a lot of people who also share the same views, and look for something greater and better than what they have. The videos below prove to me that all are trying to look for their way home, and that they really want to know the Savior. Everyone is looking for something - and it can be found by pointing our lives to the Savior.
